But let’s be honest, in this digital age, who has the time to shuffle through stacks of cards? If you’re like me, you crave a seamless, tech-savvy solution to networking. LinkedIn, being the sharp platform that it is, offered a pretty neat solution. Now, through their mobile app, they provide QR Codes. This simple yet ingenious addition allows fellow attendees to scan and connect without the classic “Wait, how do you spell your name?” dance. It’s essentially cutting out the middle-man of typing in names and sifting through profiles that look eerily similar to one another. Time-saving? You bet!
But here’s where things got interesting at the last conference I attended. My friends and I, ever the innovators, decided to amp up our networking efficiency. We took our LinkedIn QR Codes, jazzed them up using Canva, and set them as our phone lock screens. The result? A stunning, custom design that had our QR Code front and center. Now, instead of the usual hustle of unlocking phones, opening apps, and navigating to the right page, we simply lit up our screens. Voilà! Instant networking, with a side of style.
